Job Summary: 

The Project Support Document and Data Processor will be responsible for document and data processing, which includes systematic document and data extraction, preparation and loading within the Meridian Asset Services system.  This position reports to the Business Operations Manager

Job Duties:

  • Extract electronic documents from external databases
  • Prepare, process, import and/or export digitized documents into document management system
  • Prepare and review manifests for each document load for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain schedule of document processing and loading
  • Ensure proper transferal and indexing of images
  • Consult with end users regarding problems in accessing electronic document content
  • Investigate and reconcile any electronic document inconsistencies
  • Communicate and resolve electronic document quality issues with clients and internal personnel
  • Responsible for performing data manipulation and execute data changes to data warehouse as needed.
  • Develop, document and maintain standards, best practices, or system usage procedures
  • Must read, be familiar, and be compliant with Meridian’s Information Security Manual, as well as additional e-mails, policies, procedures and directives that comprise the overall Information Security policies as they are distributed

 

Education, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Education:
    • Associates or 2 Year college degree in a related field required.  In some cases, substantial, relevant experience may be substituted for this qualification.
    • Technical coursework in Computer Science or related field desired.
  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • Some experience reviewing report and query results to identify issues with data and/or query components
    • Some experience with mortgage loan data preferred.
    • Experience with Access or SQL preferred

       

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail:
    • Attention to detail in the review and data entry of information from documents.
  • Communication:
    • Ability to compose professional correspondence independently for internal communications only; requiring senior level review for external clients.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Ability to conduct web-based research finding sites and information independently.
    • Proficient in Excel; intermediate to advanced skills including the use of lookups, pivot tables and basic formulas in manipulating large amounts of data.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including the basic functionality of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Confidentiality:
    • Exercises good judgement with access to confidential borrower data (SSN).
  • Customer Service:
    • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills required for internal clients
  • Independent Contributor:
    • Independently organizes, tracks and prioritizes assigned work including managing internal and external requests effectively and within acceptable timelines.
    • Self-motivated with the Initiative to research, question, and apply information.
    • Completes tasks as assigned and directed by supervisor
  • Relationships:
    • Maintains a positive attitude.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

  • Able to work under pressure in a fast moving, deadline driven environment.
