Legal Administrative Assistant in Newark, DE

Responsibilities:

  • Provides litigation support for complex regulatory proceedings with large paper and electronic docket, multiple parties, heavy work load, and tight deadlines.
  • Prepares legal documents for filing with courts, regulatory commissions and government agencies.
  • Scans, copies, compiles, organizes, distributes, and files high volumes of electronic and hard copy documents. Performs edits and proofreads documents using appropriate English and grammar. At the request and under the supervision of an attorney, composes initial drafts of standard business letters and other documents.
  • Creates and maintains numerous electronic and paper files.
  • Handles multiple telephone lines, connecting the caller with the appropriate person and takes accurate and thorough messages.
  • Skillful preparation of documents using p.c. based word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email software.
   
     

Skills:

  • Must be have 2-5 years legal administrative experience
  • Must be able to work independently on multiple projects in coordination with other internal and external project team members.
  •  Experience analyzing large datasets.  Detail oriented, proficient in Excel, QuickBase, Access, and all other MS software.
  • Candidates should have customer service experience, basis knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, good communication skills, and are able to work in a high-pace environment.
  • They must also be able to manage and take ownership of multiple assignments, manage towards deadlines, work with a team, be dependable and have a professional demeanor.
